Bigfoot coaching
Our Staff

The Bow Valley Bigfoot coaching staff is committed to creating a structured, competitive, and supportive environment for athletes who are serious about improving their game. Our coaches bring experience, knowledge, and a passion for player development, helping athletes strengthen their skills, build confidence, and compete at a higher level.

Players receive guidance not only on technical skills, but also on the habits and mindset required to succeed in competitive hockey. The role of our coaching staff is to support each player's development while maintaining the standards and expectations that define the Bow Valley Bigfoot program. Every practice and every game is an opportunity to reinforce preparation, accountability, and teamwork.

As part of a program competing in the Junior Prospects Hockey League (JPHL), our staff prepares athletes for the pace, structure, and demands of high-level competition.

Development-Focused Coaching

A Focus on Long-Term Athlete Development

Our coaching philosophy focuses on long-term athlete development. Players are challenged to improve every day while developing the discipline and work ethic required to continue progressing within the P3 Sports pathway.

  • Skill development and skating progression
  • Game awareness and hockey IQ
  • Work ethic
  • Communication and teamwork
  • Mental preparation and resilience
Leadership & Mentorship

Coaches within the Bow Valley Bigfoot program also serve as mentors, helping athletes navigate the challenges of competitive sport. Through guidance, encouragement, and accountability, our staff supports players as they develop both on and off the ice.

The goal is not only to develop better hockey players, but stronger, more confident individuals.
