Billet families provide a safe, supportive home for players who relocate to compete with Bow Valley Bigfoot.
The Bow Valley Bigfoot program welcomes players from outside the local area who wish to join our competitive teams and continue their development within the P3 Sports pathway. For these athletes, billet families provide a safe, supportive home environment while players live and train in the Bow Valley region during the hockey season. Billeting allows players to pursue high-level hockey opportunities while becoming part of a supportive local community.

A billet family provides a home away from home for players who relocate to compete with Bow Valley Bigfoot. Billet families offer:
- A safe and supportive living environment
- A private bedroom for the player
- Meals and daily support during the season
- A welcoming family atmosphere
Players who billet with local families quickly become part of the community while continuing their training, school commitments, and team responsibilities.
Relocating to pursue competitive hockey can be a significant step for young athletes. Our billet program helps ensure that players feel comfortable, supported, and welcomed during their time with Bow Valley Bigfoot. Billet families play an important role in the development experience by providing encouragement, stability, and a positive environment outside of the rink. Many players build lasting relationships with their billet families that extend well beyond the hockey season.
