About Bow Valley Bigfoot

A Structured Environment for Long-Term Player Growth

The Junior Prospects Hockey League

Bow Valley Bigfoot teams compete in the Junior Prospects Hockey League (JPHL), one of North America's leading development leagues. The JPHL brings together strong programs from across Canada and the United States, creating a competitive environment that challenges players to perform against high-level opponents. Through league play, showcase events, and tournament competition, Bigfoot athletes gain valuable experience competing against talented players while continuing their development within the P3 Sports pathway. The league structure emphasizes both competition and development, helping athletes grow as players while preparing them for future opportunities in the game.

Our Pillars

Purpose. Preparation. Progression.

Purpose

Players understand why they train, why they compete, and what they are working toward. Purpose provides direction and motivation.

Preparation

Success requires preparation — physically, mentally, and emotionally. Training habits and commitment create the foundation for performance.

Progression

Development is a process. Players earn opportunities by demonstrating growth, commitment, and performance over time.

Our Mission

Passion. Perspective. Performance.

Building leaders, building athletes, and building communities through passion, perspective, and performance. Our programs are designed to support athletes as they grow both on and off the ice. Through structured training, competitive opportunities, and strong mentorship, players develop the habits, discipline, and mindset required to succeed in hockey and in life.

As part of the P3 Sports development pathway, athletes progress through an environment that emphasizes preparation, accountability, and continuous improvement. We believe development happens through commitment, hard work, and a willingness to keep progressing.

Nothing is given. Earn everything.

Our Role Within P3 Sports

Competition as Another Stage of Development

Bow Valley Bigfoot operates within the P3 Sports development pathway. Within this pathway, Bigfoot teams provide players with the opportunity to apply their training in meaningful competition while continuing to build the habits and discipline required for long-term success in the game. Competition becomes another stage of development — where players learn to perform, adapt, and grow through experience.

The Bigfoot Standard

Players in the Bow Valley Bigfoot program are expected to demonstrate the habits that support long-term development and team success. These standards help create a culture where players compete hard, support one another, and take pride in their development.

Discipline

Commitment to training, preparation, and continuous improvement.

Resilience

The ability to respond to adversity and continue pushing forward.

Work Ethic

A willingness to put in the effort required to reach the next level.
